Navadra Island is an uninhabited island in western
Fiji. It couldn't be more beautiful. Anchoring behind Navadra gives one
the feeling that you are the only one to ever visit this island
paradise. Well...that is until the cruise ship comes in and moors just a
few hundred feet to starboard!
This is a shot from Quest as the cruise ship comes in
and moors VERY close to Wetnose!
We did some diving nearby and here are a couple shots we
got while there.

Here's
our friend, Jim, who encouraged me every step of the way to continue
building my diving experience.

As you see, we had fun taking pictures and splashing around in the
water.
On the right is an oval butterflyfish (Chaetodon lunulatus).
And
to the left a Scissortail sergeant (Abudefduf sexfascinatus) an
his friend, the bluestreak cleaner wrasse (Labroides dimidiatus).
We
did have some visitors from the village that actually owned "our"
island. I think we gave them some Bibles, other gifts and a little money
and they left happy! We had a great time on Navadra, so everyone was
happy.
So,
here we are at night in our lovely anchorage - another beautiful evening
in paradise. |
