We decided it would be easier to be med-moored at the dock in Port Vila. This way folks could get on and off the boat and we could get luggage on and off for the airport. At this point Dennis and Theresa AND Peery were with us!

We had to check in here at Port Vila and then head south to visit Tanna Island and the volcano.  We were able to stock up on a lot of vegetables and fruit while in town.

The produce was exceptional in Pt. Vila (or Fila). It was perhaps the best or among the best we ever saw in the islands.

We decided to check out the "Number One" Cafe. It looks like we did OK!

We were also able to have a cool drink and a nice lunch in a real restaurant. At the table are Theresa, Dennis, Scott and Peery. Yours truly is the photographer.

We found our friends, Luc and Jackie on Schloepmouse and made plans to attend a festival in Southwest Bay further north in Vanuatu.

Just wanted you to see the beautiful and restful anchorage just to the ease of the main area of Pt. Vila. Quite a nice spot for a first impression of Vanuatu.

Later we anchored in Havannah Harbor (on northwestern Efate Is.). We shared the anchorage with Nancy and Burger and spent a restful night on our way to Luganville.
