Home Page
-
Table of
Contents - You're here!
-
Charts and Maps - You asked
for it! Here it is! You will not believe the huge
distances - the Pacific Ocean is enormous. Anything less than
500 nm is a small trip!
-
Where are we?
- we are able to update this using our radio email (NOT
INTERNET). As technology improves so does our ability to let you
know where we are! We are installing Inmarsat on Quest. That
should make our life different this year. We also have the
SPOT
- Click on "SPOT" to find us!
-
Meet the Crew
- This tells you who we are (kind of!).
-
Our Bible Mission
may seem (at first glance) as disorganized
and unfocused as life itself. But we believe that God works in
mysterious ways and we just wait for opportunities to present
themselves!
-
Bible Mission Page 2 The
page above is just way too big and so, in 2009 I had to start a
second page of our Bible Mission. This was the year loaded the
boat beyond reason - Thank you Lord!
-
s/v Quest
- Pictures and info about the boat!
-
Jean's Interests
- There are some good travel and cruiser links on
this page.
-
I decided to devote a page to
just Birds!
-
And another page to
Flowers,
-
And a third page to
Sea Life.

2010
Travels - from Hong Kong we sailed to Borneo,
then on to Thailand via Singapore and Penang, Malaysia - also
trip to Cambodia and a planned trip to Burma.
-
Mainland
China - What a wonderful
trip. You can't see everything, so you must pick and choose.
BUT, you did guess that I loved the terracotta warriors.
-
Borneo - WOW! I don't think
you can get more exotic than Borneo. We arrived in Kota Kinabalu
to find a modern marina with all the necessities.
-
Singapore - It was great to
come into Keppel Bay Marina and have professional dock hands
when we needed them.
-
Penang,
Malaysia - a very interesting place that suffers
under government corruption and favoritism.
-
Phuket, Thailand - A neat
place! Glad we were there in the "off" season.
-
Bangkok,
Thailand - If you can tolerate big cities there
are treasures to behold!
-
Diving Thailand
-
Phnom Penh
- The main Cambodian city built where the Mekong River meets the
Tonle Sap.
-
Angkor
Wat - This is an incorrect designation of our
travels to the temple area, but (since that's how I originally
knew about the temples) I use the name for convenience.
-
Cambodian Countryside - Most of Cambodia is
rural, so it's only reasonable that I include this page.
-
Burma - this is truly
amazing!
-
Voyages 2009 This year we
returned to visit our friends in Fiji - as we promised!
-
Hawaii I visited Hawaii for
the purpose of attaining my scuba diving certification, and I
DID IT!
-
New Zealand
2009 was the last time Quest was in New Zealand.
Because we plan to head north and west on our around the world
journey we determined that we can't stay in New Zealand forever.
It was quite bittersweet leaving friends in that beautiful
country.
-
Fiji Because we had
promised friends that we would return to Fiji, WE DID!
-
Vanuatu
-
Solomon
Islands - Gizo
-
Micronesia
-
Kosrae
-
Pohnpei
- The ancient site of
Nan Midol, a wonder of Micronesia.
-

traditional village life.

-
Moving south

marinas, as well as outlying anchorages.
-

mostly focused on our stay at Marina Barillas, a little island
of paradise.

El Salvador Interior - features
the people of El Salvador and their courageous efforts to
rebuild their country after over a decade of civil war.
-
Costa
Rica - The
foremost memory of Costa Rica is the beautiful rain forests and
unusual fauna.
-
The
Panamanian Islands of the
Pacific are absolutely gorgeous. It was an especial treat to get
off the coast and into clear water!
-
The
Panama Canal section also includes Panama City and
other historical sites!
