Tahiti to
Raiatea

We sailed (about 10 miles) across the water from Tahiti
to Moorea to anchor on the east coast of Moorea. In this photo (right)
we're looking east across the reef and occasional coral head to Tahiti.

Rendezvous in Polynesia

Here's a photo of the east side of Huahine. We anchored
the Quest over here for a couple of days while we explored. The
rendezvous included ten boats traveling from Huahine to Raiatea/Tahaa to
Bora Bora. What fun we all had.
Mopelia, French Polynesia to the Cook
Islands

Here we are on Mopelia Atoll - the westernmost island of
French Polynesia. We met Victor, one of seven occupants of this island.
He had run out of diesel and was glad that we offered to take him to
visit his parents (a few miles down the atoll). Here Victor is preparing
a coconut for each of us for a nice refreshing drink.
Rarotonga, The Cook Islands

I took this photo from the tip of a high hill. We're
looking down on a rural settlement on the south side of the island. Some
of these larger trees have been planted to help stave off erosion.
Minerva Reef to Auckland, New Zealand

This is a pretty interesting shot of Scott and myself.
We are sitting on a bit of sand as the tide rises at Minerva Reef. When
the tide is high very little of this reef is visible. This is why you
need to be very careful as you sail around these reefs.
