Hi Folks,
It's 2007 already and Scott & I have been on the Quest since 2002. We
were so unhappy being "dirt dwellers" during our time in the states that
another floating abode had to be acquired - more on that another time.
The cruising season of 2007 AND 2008 will find us in
Fiji.
Come join us if you're up for an adventure!!
P.S. Check on the
Lazy Bones Website, maybe
they're more up to date than we are. Also try some new friends
svRapture's website.
Additionally, don't miss a great couple,
Jackie & Luc.
To
find where Scott & Jean are now check:
Shiptrack (enter K9ESO - ALL
POSITIONS)
winlink or
YOTREPS.
Look under K9ESO to find Quest. To get an idea of
the relative position and distances of our various destinations check
out our Charts & Maps Page.
The cheapest way to reach us is our sailmail address while
at sea. That is:
WDA4750@sailmail.com Keep it brief and NO attachments (NO photos). We collect
this over our single side band radio. Also, DON'T hit "reply" and return
our own message as this adds unnecessary length to the email. This is a
very slow ham radio connection and we'll be cut off if you send a very
large message. So, PLEASE...we want to hear from you, but
keep it brief.
Winlink is also good and uses ham radio. Our address (at
sea) is:
K9ESO@winlink.org All of the
above also applies, but additionally you may NOT include any business
matters. Again we'll get cut off if this rule is violated.
Our regular earthlink emails are only good when we collect them on
land!!!
Scott's is: suadam@earthlink.net
Jean's is jeadam@earthlink.net
or jeadam@svquest.com These
will accept attachments, but we can only pick up messages when we get to
an internet cafe. Islands with only a dozen inhabitants and limited
electricity don't have internet cafes!!!
Our regular phone numbers while we're in the states - starting with (310) - work in some
places. BUT, since I racked up a four digit phone bill while in Ensenada
I'm trying to behave myself and stick to email. The (064) country code
is for New Zealand.
We do have an Iridium phone. However, it
is VERY costly, so I don't recommend it!
Snail mail also works, and we have a friend picking up our mail for
us at D.R.Y.C.
