You'll have to enlarge this to see how lovely the
village of Malua is. This is a SDA village and people are invited to
join the Seventh Day Adventists at this beautiful ordered village. We
found a significant difference between the SDA villages and the
"traditional"
villages. For one thing, there is NO drinking or drugs in
the SDA villages!!
Just as we anchored in the bay outside the village of Malua, we were
visited by local people and given a warm welcome to come ashore.

We were impressed with the orderliness of the village of Malua. Also,
that people were industrious.

Here's
a nice shot of the village with our friend, Leda.
Here
the kids are leading me around the village area.
A small garden.

I'm just giving you shots of the area around the
village.
We
went to visit the school principal and he showed us the school.
Here
he is in his office.

They had a better collection of books than we've seen
elsewhere.
As a consequence, we decided to give a couple of cases of Bibles to
the village in the next bay that were in great need.

We
had a great send off as we returned to the boat. |
