OK, I think this is it! This is Shanghai: tall
business buildings, apartment buildings, continuous construction of
buildings and streets and subways, people on the move - places to go and
things to do. Oh yes, and smoggy air!
This
is the Orient Pearl TV Tower. We went up in it later and saw the sights
of the city. To the right is the big Expo Convention center (I don't
think I have that right, but it's pretty neat anyway!).
I'm
just going to put in a whole lot of photos of the city and I hope I'll
have enough time & energy to include the Yu Yuan Garden - let's hope.
We
loved every place we went. The energy of the city was amazing!
This is the entrance to the Pearl TV Tower: WELCOME!

Shanghai
is not too far from the ocean, hence you get these big ocean cargo
ships.
I'm going to try to get some Yu Yuan Garden photos in
here before I call it quits.

You know to click on the photos to enlarge them, RIGHT?

We
LOVED this garden. I hope you can see that! Every time you turned around
there was another beautiful sight.
We
were in China in early spring, so not too many plants were blooming and
you could see that there was still snow in the Beijing area.
