This is a typical view of Zhouzhuang, a water village that dates back to
1086 - during the Song Dynasty. We enjoyed walking around this little
village.

We
couldn't get enough of this beautiful site.
It
was a lovely sunny day, so all the locals were out enjoying the
surroundings too.
Zhouzhuang
is a bit off the beaten path, but it's well worth the trip.

I thought you'd enjoy these colorful shots.

We
also enjoyed the Garden of the Master of Nets in Suzhou.
You
can see how the Chinese appreciate water in an esthetic sense. It is
very often a part of a garden.

We
really did enjoy the many gardens we visited. It seemed that every where
you turned there was another great shot!
Another lovely Master of Nets Garden shot.
You
see that the Chinese go in for interestingly shaped rocks also!
We traveled on to Suzhou, another water village - which
we love!

These
little villages take you back in time.

Lots
of interesting nooks and crannies.
Suzhou
is a very romantic city by night. Many people go there to get wedding
photos taken.
It
was very pleasant to walk around this area at night.
These
night photos are fun to play with.
From Suzhou we traveled to
Hangzhou.

These shots are from West Lake next to Hangzhou.

The truth is, I'm not sure of some of these locations, but we had fun
taking lots of photos!

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. We came to really appreciate the
esthetics of the Chinese gardens and parks.
